I'm in desperate need of some help in trying to sort out one of my family lines...
My 4th great-grandmother was Anna Davis Faucett of Orange County, NC (b. 1810/11, d. 30 Aug 1849). I believe her parents to be James Faucett (b. 19 Apr 1789 in Orance County) and Elizabeth Bird (b. 28 May 1790 in Orange County). Where I'm running into problems is in being able to verify this information and verify who James Faucett's parents were. There are several different versions out there that I've come across in various tress and I want to have the correct information before I add it to my own. It would seem that there may have been another James Faucett who married an Elizabeth Bird around the same time, but this James Faucett was from Iowa and died in Indiana and I think somewhere along the line, the two have been confused with each other - particularly since the James Faucett who died in Indiana died in Orange County, Indiana - so it's not hard to see where the confusion would come in.
Can anyone help?? I think if there was a will of James or of his father, that might help. I'm just not having any luck...

David A. Faucett (b. 1815) m. Mary Ann Patterson
Mary Ann Faucett (b. 1828) m. Isaac Holden
William Faucett (b. 1829)
John A. Faucett (b. 1832)
George Faucett (b. 1834)
Albert Faucett (b. 1836)
Martha Faucett (b. 1837)
Any assistance would be appreciated...I've really hit a wall at this point! :)
