We are decendants of Robert {Sigisbert} Faucett b.ca.1720 Gonderville,France. He died 1785 Orange Co.,N.C. We don't know what his wife's name was but here is a list of their children.
1.Robert Faucett b.ca.1755
2.Thomas Faucett b.ca.1756 d.1787
m.Deborah Underhill
3.George Faucett b.ca.1750
m.Elizabeth Mercer? Faucett
4.Edward Faucett served and died in the
Revolutionary War.
5.Fanney Faucett
6.Elizabeth Faucett
From George it goes to his son John who was the father of Nathaniel Bonaparte Faucett who was the father of my g.g.grandmother Mahala Jane Faucett. Most of the Faucett lived in Orange Co. and some are buried at Chapel Hill. There is a memorial marker there with Robert and Edwards names on it for fighting in the Revalutionary War.After a while some of this branch moved to Henderson Co.,Tenn.They settled there and had children including Mahala.Later some of this branch came to Arkansas and we still have a few in Lonoke Co.After a while some moved on into Texas where decendants of that bunch are still living. If you think your N.C. family is related please let me know and maybe we can work together on this.
Thank you,Sandra
