Thanks! I appreciate your help. Now, would you or anyone know if the Mary J. age 21 who is listed with Cornelius and Elizabeth Faris in the 1860 Franklin Co. TN census, is the same person as the Mary J. Holder age 21 who is listed with her husband C. C. Holder and young son H. L. T. in that same census? C. C. and Mary J. are living in the home of Sidney and Lucinda age 17 Downum, with both men listed as wheelwrights.
I am trying to learn more about this Mary J. Holder, who I believe left TN with her husband after 1860; they are found in Fayette Co. TX in 1870, in Bastrop Co. TX in 1880, and in Caldwell co. TX in 1900. Mary Jane Holder died in 1918 "age 80" and her DC states her father was Neiley Faris and her mother was "Mary". Do you think I am tracing the right Mary J.?
Her age varies in the census reports:1839, 1844, 1838, 1842, 1838. There is another Mary Faris in the 1860 census--a daughter of Sanders Faris, also living in Franklin Co. TN, age 17 (1843). But since Richard Sidney Downum married Lucinda Farris in Dec 1858, and C. C. Holder married Mary J. Farris in July 1858, I am thinking they are double listed in 1860--both in their parents' home and with their husbands. Any additional information about these two families?
