Hi, It's me again and still looking to connect. I did some other searching and found your Farrier and my Foster could be the same. It is possible there was German here as my Foster was a soundex name for Faust/Foust/etc.
Between Nye and this, we are getting closer.
My gggrandmother was Sarah Foster/? b 1835 m Sherman.
My Sherman descendant ggrandmother b 1857 m Shaffer/Shafer/Schafer, thus my grandmother who married Woolley and thus my Mom.
I am still looking as to which one got into the Nye family, but I believe my aunt that married a Stauffer connected to Nye.
Hope that isn't too confusing. I'll let you know when I find something.
