Thank you for contacting me about my husband's Farriba family. I had no idea there were still so many descendants with the Farriba surname. Most descendants who have contacted me to date were through Farriba daughters or granddaughters so no longer have the Farriba surname.

My husband, W. H. Bradford, is the great grandson of James Ensley Farriba (brother of your Joseph Anderson Farriba), grandson of Luna Maude (Farriba) Hinson, and son of Dessie Angeline (Hinson) Bradford.

So far as I can tell, Robert Farriba and Celia Emily Wood were the progenitors of most, of not all, of the Farriba descendants living today. Right after I originally posted my message on GenForum, a great granddaughter of William Ivington Farriba contacted me. She still had his family Bible, and he was indeed, the eldest son of Robert Farriba and Celia Emily Wood. William Ivington Farriba married Nancy Ann Green in Dawson County, GA on Jan 1, 1860, and they apparently left almost immediately to go west to Arkansas where they settled in Sevier County, Arkansas and faised a family of four children.

Everything I have found or other descendants have shared with me on the family to date is posted on the World Connect Project, index page at URL:

Robert Farriba page at URL:

Please look over the data posted there and let me know of any corrections/additions you are willing to share.

If there is additional family information that you would like to have, or if I can answer any questions, Please e-mail me directly.

I could not respond directly to you since your e-mail address was not available to me on the GenForum page.

Thanks again for contacting me. I look forward to hearing from you again soon.
