Hello: I'm a descendant of Henry Farrer(Farrar/Faror, Ferror) of Ewood, Midgleyville, Halifax Parish, West riding, Yorkshire, by way of his son William Farrar m Margaret Lacy, his grandson John Farrar who married Sissley Kelke, his great grandson William Farrar, migrated to Va aboard the Neptune in 1618 and married Cecily widow of Samuel Jordan. This is a different line (a cousin line) to the New England Farrars who started their migration over half a century later. There was also a Robert Farrar who arrived 1635 in Va aboard the Safety, but of him we hear no more, other than the manifest.

The reason I'm posting is that New England Farrar's apparently in haste to connect themselves to known entities have coopted Margaret Lacy as wife of Brian Farrer.

Trouble is (and you can verify this by googling Visitation of Surrey and Visitation 1623 and Visitation of Hertforshire 1634, is that Margaret Lacy married William Farrar/Farrer/Faror/Ferror/ etc my ancestor. Margaret was the dtr of John Lacy of Brearley Yorkshire.

Don't take my word for it, check out the Visitations I mentioned. Visitations are Visits by the Kings Herald whereby he visits the realm and confirms pedigress (it's actually a census). In 1623 he visited Westwood Manor in Surrey. Westwood was at the time owned by John Farrar, his father had bought it from a Mr Vyne, subsequent to the visit
John sold the Westwood manor (the Farrar's used it as a hunting lodge) and removed to his manor at Great Amwell in Hertfordshire.
