Sarah,

The origin of the Farren name is Irish. Can be found in two forms: Farren and O'Farren. Given that the Irish were discriminated against when arriving in the US., Many dropped the O from the name...Many Farrens can be found in County Kildare. Our Farrens are from an area just below the border of Northern Ireland. Hope this helps
