Don't know if there is a connection but my great grandfather was James Farren, lived in Chelesa (Boston). Emigrated to Cambridgeport (Boston). Don't know anything about his family or siblings - just started research. His nickname was Sligo Jim, worked at the Union Oyster House in Boston. email me if you have any other information on your Farren, please.
