Robert H. Farrell Robert H. Farrell of Geneva A funeral Mass for Robert H. Farrell 85, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, with Monsignor Joseph Jarmoluk celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St. (three blocks west of the Fox River and one block south of Route 64), St. Charles. Born April 19, 1923, in Monroe, Wis., the youngest of 10 children of Tom and Mary (nee Lawman) Farrell, he died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 with his family by his side. Robert was a corporal in the Army and served in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. He was a medic in the Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Robert served as past commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart for the State of Illinois. He had volunteered more than 8000 hours at Hines Veterans Hospital in Maywood. Robert was an electrician for over 30 years with IBEW 134 in Cook County. He served as an usher for both St. Maria Goretti Church in Schiller Park and St. Peter Church in Geneva. Mr. Farrell is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores "Dee;" his daughter, Colleen Gold of Geneva; grandsons, Robert John Farrell and William Phillip Farrell; and many nieces and nephews.
