Hi, I too am new to the forum. I cannot contribute to your Tenn. Ferrel's or whatever spelling you like to use, but I have always heard about the two brothers theory, one going north one going south, and changing the spelling so as to not be considered relatives. I also heard one made lots of money and the other did not. Not sure about that part of the story. My father Herbert Earl Ferrill moved to SD. CA,from Ok. in 1900 then north in the 30's.
