Thank you for your response and all the interesting historical data.It is so important to understand the geography and socio/cultural environment in which ones ancestors lived.To my knowledge I have no direct ancestors that ever lived in Alabama for any significant period of time.By 1815 plus or minus a few years all of my paternal and maternal lines were well established in south Mississippi.Many of them no doubt trekked across Alabama on their way to what would become their new homes.
I appreciate your offer to check your Perry County reference materials on my behalf.I am interested in any information that may be available regarding the Nowell and Harvey families.Perhaps the connection of David Harvey to Henry Farrar is nothing more than having been neighbors, and Farrar marrying Martha Nowell who most likely was resident in the household of Harvey.I think David Harvey was associated with Uriah Harvey who married in Perry County.They later patented land near one another in Choctaw County AL.There may have also been a connection to James Harvey.
