Hardy Harris (1769?-1832) had two sons, one of whom was another Hardy (1819-1882) and the other was Andrew Jackson (1816-abt1875).
Andrew Jackson seems to have stayed on the family farm with his mother, served in the War with Mexico, and married a much younger woman in 1854. Her name was Martha A. B. G. Farrar.
They had eight children before AJ died (between the 1870 and 1880 censuses), after which she married a neighboring widower, named Wright, who was about AJ's age.
I have the names of their children, but I have not been able to locate any living descendants.
Is Martha A. B. G. one of your Farrars?
I have Jno. Howard Farrar marrying Elizabeth Rowland Harris (1800-1886), the daughter of Ransom and Elizabeth Gilliam Harris on 11/20/1817 in Warren Co,NC.
I have her dying in Bedford Co, TN, Aug 29, 1886.
Hardy and Ransom's father, Isham Harris (1741 to 1822)lived at Chalk Level, between modern Henderson and the Warren Co line. He lent out money and had a large estate, which was auctioned. Seems like there are Farrars in those estate papers.
You were very sharp to make the Hardy Harris connection. Tell me you know Martha A B G. She was born in 1833.
