Hi...My dad was born 1932 in Croydon Road West Ham, London, the 10th of 11 kids....
FRANCES...1913
JAMES...(JIM)...1915
CHARLES...1918
ALFRED..(ALF)..1920
DORIS....1922
ALBERT...1924
ROBERT..(BOB)...1926
IVY...1929
EILEEN...1931
RONALD..(RON..my father)..1932
JEAN...1935...

Their mother was Ida Catherine (nee Giles)

Most of the family were evacuated to Bletchingdon Oxfordshire during the war.
Dad went to Hermit Road school West Ham ...
His father was Alfred James b.28/7/1885.....his father was James Thomas b.1846, married twice, 1st wife Kezia Watts drowned, 2nd wife was Elizabeth Blunt...

Alfred had a brother born 1880 who I know nothing about.

I have managed to trace my tree back to 1600, most of them come from a small village in Suffolk called Stoke By Clare.....
John Farrant b. 28/1/1738 married Martha Graigoose b.9/7/1797 in 1761...they had 13 children...Is anyone descended from any of these...The children are called FARRANCE for this generation then switch back to FARRANT

I dont know anything about the other 12 except that there were possibly 2 sets of twins one of each I suspect may have died very young cos the following years children were given the same names.
FARRANCE children:
MARGARET...26/7/1761
MARTHA....24/11/1762
JOSEPH.../8/4/1764
ANNE...17/10/1766
WILLIAM...2/10/1768
RICHARD....23/10/1770
DANIEL....8/6/1772
JAMES...10/5/1776...WHO I SUSPECT DIED YOUNG
THOMAS...10/5/1776
JAMES...19/5/1777
ANNE...19/5/1777....WHO I SUSPECT DIED YOUNG
ANNE....12/6/1779
RICHARD...1/10/1782

Maybe some of these ended up in the US or Australia!

Looking forward to hearing from someone.
Stephen
