I am a descendant of a Charles Farquharson b.1995, he had a son who fits your description.
my grand fathere was Harry Farquharson b.1882, Braemar , and his first language was Gaelic and Catholic, he immigrated to Australia in 1912. we are not of the Invercauld line, they were dispossessed after the 1745 rebellion and Charles (1795) was a land holder in Tarland & Mygvie. His children lived around Braemar & Balmoral castle.
The last direct Braemar relitive was Mary Farquharson of Peidmont (?) in Braemar, she was my Grand Father's (harry) Sister's (Nell) daudgter. She was a Hair Dresser in Braemar in the 1940, 50, 60 & 70, she was Hair Dresser to the Queen (Elizabeth II) when the Queen was at Balmoral (and I can prove it). Mary died in 1993, she is in the grave yard at Braemar, next to the Chiefs og Incercauld.
Regards from Australia.
