I believe that I have information on the person you are looking for. I have an Elzaver (Babs) Farquhar, born 9 Feb. 1852, who married Mary Elizabeth Bell. I show ten children from their marriage - Alonzo Paden Farquhar (b. 23 Oct. 1877), Allison Roy Farquhar (b. 30 Oct. 1879), Edward H. Farquhar (b. 1 Mar. 1882), Carl B. Farquhar (b. 19 Mar. 1884), Moses Bell Farquhar (b. 14 Oct. 1885), Lelia A. Farquhar (b. 23 July 1887), Rush Clifton Farquhar (b. 6 Dec. 1889), Ina Farquhar (b. 21 Jan. 1892), Helen Gould Farquhar (b. 11 Dec. 1899) and Floyd Furnier Farquhar (b. 9 May 1901).
I received information from another researcher (Elzaver's g.g. granddaughter) that Elzaver's mother was Evangeline (Angelina) Farquhar (b. 29 Feb. 1830). The father is not known. Evangeline later married Stewart Hands (in 1858). Elzaver died on 23 Sept. 1932.
Evangeline was the oldest daughter of William Farquhar (1801-1856) and Sarah Moss (1801-1886). They had four other children - Alpheus (b. 1831), William (b. 1833), Zimri (b. 1834) and Aaron Burr (b. 1841). I have also seen Elzaver listed as the youngest child od William and Sarah, and he indeed may have been brought up by them.
The family lived in Fayette, PA, and spred to other areas in PA.
