Much thanks. Nice to know you have access to cemetery records. I am not a Farquhar, but I have Macy ancestry through Margaret Mahala (Macy) Farquahar's grandparents, Albert Macy & Nancy Wall. Their son, Joseph Macy m. Sarah Hobson & they were the parents of Margaret Mahala Macy, w/o Isaac J. I am compiling a large Quaker database at wc.rootsweb.com called CoffinFamily, which traces descendants of that line, so am interesting in clarifying the details of this family.
When I was at Salem Cemetery last fall, I remember seeing a grave for a Mahala Macy & I know there were Farquahars there as well. However, I didn't have enough film to shoot their gravestones. Are you able to tell me what the cemetery books show? Nancy (Wall) Macy is buried there, but Albert Macy, her husband, is buried at Economy Cemetery just over the county border in Wayne Co., IN. I would also like to verify if Margaret Mahala Farquahar died on Jan. or Feb. 26, 1879.
As for the Farquahar family, I show that Isaac J., son of Mahlon & Margaret (Thompson) Farquahar, had brothers Allen H Farquhar b. c. 1835 & William Turner Farquhar b. c. 1850. Given the age difference, it is likely there were more children.
