I do have James Farquhar and Margaret Welsh on one of my charts, but unfortunately I can't help you with any information on James' parents. However, I have five children. You mentioned Ann, James, David and John. I also have Mary (b. abt. 1786) who married Thomas Jamieson on 17 June 1809 in Inverkeillor. Mary died on 26 Aug. 1864 in Kirkden, AN.
With regards to John, I have his christening date as 7 June 1792. His marriage to Mary Jamieson was registered twice, firstly on June 1, 1811 in Inverkeillor, and secondly on the date and place you indicated.
I have eleven children of John Farquhar and Mary Ann Jamieson - Ann, Elizabeth, Mary, William, James, David, Isabel, Barbara, William Stephen, Margaret and Jesse.
