Yes we are researching Farquhars in the Angus and Kincardineshire area. We have traced back to John Farquhar who married Margaret Towns in Marykirk Kincardineshire in 1779. They had at least 3 children as far as we know (Our line John born 1782 he married Martha Dunsten, Andrew born 1784 and Margaret born 1785)
Whilst searching we found Alexander Farquhar who lived in St Cyrus he married Jean Fettes around about the same time there is no record of a marriage but they had many children from about the same time 1776 to 1792.
We have noticed that Alexander's early children were registered in Episcopal Lonmay and also in LogiePert.
There is also Robert Farquhar he married Mary Rodger in Farnell Angus 1775 they had a child named James in 1776
We do have a sneaky feeling that these men may have been related whether they were brothers or cousins we are not sure.
