Hello Russell,
Thanks for my 1st response to my year old posting. I wish I had more family info, as I have hit a road block. Yes, I know of the numerous spelling versions thanks, but still come up empty handed.
Just returning sadly, from one of the last two remaining of Daisy's children's funerals, I am delayed in responding to your message. I had been contacted by the elderly grandson of her brother, John, in Barbados, last year, but nothing since, as I was so very hopeful he would be able to supply more info.
This Family Archives (GPC) you speak of, holding 18 Farnham/Farnum individuals, is unfamiliar to me. Could you elaborate on it please?
If I didn't already mention, Daisy and siblings were mullatto; mother black, father white. The picture of the father I have, appears he may of been of some wealth. Haven't located any info on him to date, and unsure if they were even married.
What I have learned is that Daisy was highly embarrassed by her mother's color and pretended she didn't exist and "escaped" to America, never looking back.
Appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Donna
