I am not related - this is part of a transcription project. from "Printers and Printing in Providence, 1762 - 1907" prepared by a committee of Providence Typographical Union #33 as a souvenir of the 50th anniversary of its institution printed in 1907 "The Journeymen" p. XXXII. "DANIEL W. FARNHAM - Died Providence Nov. 4, 1875, aged 29 years, of typhoid fever; he was initiated into Providence union Jan. 12, 1867; at time of death was employed in the Journal office. Unity Lodge of Odd Fellows conducted the funeral. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Farnham was a native of Nantucket, Mass., and a brother of J. E. C. Farnham. JOSEPH E. C. FARNHAM - Born Nantucket; learned printing with A. Crawford Greene; initiated into Providence Union Feb.12, 1870; worked in the book office of the Providence Press Co. for many years; with E. M. Snow he founded the firm of Snow & Farnham and purchased the book and job business formerly owned by the Providence Press Co." Notify Administrator about this message?
