Michael and Alsey FARMER- Grayson Co VA
Hi
I'm trying to determine who the parents are of a Civil War soldier from Grayson Co VA by the name of Isaac Farmer.
He was listed with VA 50th Company D.He died of scurvy in 1865 and was buried in N. Dakota at Fort Rice, then reburied in 1905 in Montana at the Custer National Cemetery.
Although I am from the line of the elder Isaac Farmer of Grayson, there is not an Isaac in his decendancy for that era.
Could this be the son, often referred to as Isaiah Farmer, of Alsey Shockley and Michael Farmer, Jr. ?
Thanks in advance.Debbie Wood
