Armstead Farmer, b. 1825 VA or SC, d. bet. 1881-1889 in Cherokee CO., GA
I'm researching my husband's 2nd great-grandfather, Armstead Farmer and am looking for any information anyone can provide about his family or parent's. He was married twice.
I have not found his parents or siblings, which might be connected to Virginia, since one of his census files noted him born in VA and he was living in Augusta, VA in 1830.
What I have been able to obtain so far is mainly from census files and a few notes online:
1830 Census - shows him living in Southern District, Augusta, VA.
After 1837, he married Meg Eliza Jones in Spartanburg, SC.
They later moved to Georgia sometime between 1845 and 1849.
1850 Georgia Census - Cherokee County GA
1860 Georgia Census - Ball Ground District, Cherokee County.
1870 Census - Cherokee County, Conns Creek, Georgia -
1880 Census - Ball Ground, Cherokee, Georgia
