I can't help with a local contact. I just research the Farmer line in general.
Is this your mother's mother's line? I know a lot of our inheritance comes down to us that way, but it's hard to track genealogically.
You might also try reaching out to the owner of the web site. I'm doing the same because the web site suggests that the Farmers were originally German. Have you heard that before.
