Hi,
A Mary Inez Farmer St. Clair wrote a book about Jeremiah Farmer's family and this is an excerpt from it:

Cousin Henry said he did not know much about Barnett's family but remembered these children:
daughter married Joseph Warden
Lancing married ???, went to Tazewell Co
Jeremiah--don't know what became of him

The daughter that married Joseph Warden was Jemima Farmer
Jeremiah was aka Jeremiah Samuel Farmer that married Elizabeth Ridpath
Lancing--took me forever to realize that was a nickname for Alanson (drop the A and slur the name as people frequently do), but that was exactly right, Alanson did marry Charlotte Graham in Pulaski and then went to Tazewell. The only Farmer from this county that did as best as I can recall.
So your Alanson is the son of Barnett Farmer & Elizabeth Elkins. Barnett a son of Jeremiah Farmer and Jemima.
