My brickwall is Alexander H. Farman or Farnham b. 1853, d. 1893 to Melinda Unk. (NH 1808) possibly m. to Jacob Farman. Alex was a civil war vet who became ill & was discharged; he was m. to Josephine Hanson & had a grocery store in Salamanca, NY where his mother, Melinda, lived with him. Josephine b. 1854 Catt. Co., NY, d. 1936, Niagara Falls, NY. Children were John (m. Erzelia L. Stewart), Maud (m. Wannemacher), Gertrude, Helen (m. Shorts), Jennie, (m. Weeks), Edith (m. Leonard), William (m. Unk.). Melinda's children were Abigail, 1833 (poss. m. Hosier), Elisha, 1835, Ellen, 1841 (Kirk) &Alexander & possibly a Rebecca. John & Erzelia were my grandparents and all of these people are now deceased including my Aunt Irma & Uncle Richard. There are still some descendants carrying on the Farman name in Pennsylvania, California & N. Carolina. Any info will be very much appreciated.
