Hello! I am seeking any leads on my GGG Grandmother Mary J. Farley b. August 1835 (d.1902 in Allentown, PA) to Patrick McGovern 1825 - 1902. Patrick and Mary J were married ca. 1850. I believe that they originated in County Westmeath or Meath. Mary J. (Farley) McGovern had 12 children, 9 still living in 1900. Patrick, Mary J and several of the children arrived in the US in May 26, 1865 via Glasgow to NYC, eventually settling in the Allentown, PA area. Some daughters - Ellen, Marie, Catherine (?) went to the Boston, maybe Lowell, MA region. My GG Grandfather John (1847 - 1915) AND his father Patrick worked in the Allentown Iron works. Other siblings to Allentown: Michael b. 1850; James 1863 - 1912; Julia b. 1865. My Gr. Grandfather Charles F. McGovern, Sr was a cousin and sparring partner to boxing champion "Terrible Terry" McGovern.
