Robert Farley of Blount County, Alabama also signed for his daughters (Rebecca Farley) marriage to Jesse Reese 27 Jan 1832From what I am able to figure out about Robert Farley, he might have been the son of Obediah Farley born 1757 in Amelia Co., Virginia.Obediah is almost Rev War veteran (apparently lacking the full six months for receiving a pension).Obediah Farley moved from Virginia to Tennessee, and then to Blount County in 1819. According to the "Heritage of Blount County" Robert Farley was living in Blount County before 1826, since he witnessed a warranty deed on 15 Apr 1826.On the 1830 Blount County Census he was listed with a family. On the 1840 Blount County Census, the only new name on the Census was Mary Farley, apparently his widow, because we do not see Robert Farley again on any future census. The Heritage Book states that Robert Farley was born abt. 1780/1785 in Virginia. I have been looking for even more information on Robert Farley, because he is my 5th great grandfather.Anyone who can help, please email me at:[email protected] Grybos.
