According to a booklet printed by the company that made the Baby Biscuits in the 1980, it was biscuit type baby cereal. The orginal formual was developed by Samuel Farley with the help of a doctor, Dr. William Penn Eales. They developed the recipe in the 1850's.

The Farley Bakery was a shop in the Barbican area of Plymouth. My great grandfather took over the family bakery. He sold the bakery and the recipe in 1912 in order to come to Canada.

The recipe has changed ownership several times. The latest owner is Heinz Baby Foods. The Farley Baby Biscuits is sold in Canada. I am not sure if they are sold in England or the States. I have contacted Heinz Baby Foods to see what history they have on the recipe but have not heard back.

I know about this part of the Farley tree, but before Samuel or any of his other sons and daughters I know nothing.

I hope this explains about the biscuits.
Deb
