Faris- John 1803, James R. 1837, of Kentucky and Indiana

James R. Faris was born near Laurel, KY in 1837 and moved to Bloomington, IN in 1852. He was in the Union Army, Indiana Infantry. His wife was Julia (anyone know her maiden name?) who was born in Indiana in 1849. In 1870 he lived in Nashville, IL and had two children: Emma in 1870 and James Walter in 1872. James R. changed the spelling of his name to Farris (with 2 r's)sometime around 1860. James R.'s father was John Faris who was born in 1803 in Kentucky near London and died in 1880. His Mother was Sarah Sevier, born in 1805. I have not been able to find any other information on John Faris or his parents. Please share if you know of them.
