In mid 1918 R L J Farina (sorry only initials) joined MI5 Section G4 (Russia and Eastern Europe) and remained in the service until at least the late 1920's. Presumably he spoke Russian but I have no further information. I wonder if he may have been an ex-policeman. Any relatives/information I'd be delighted to hear from you.
