I am seeking information regarding the parents of James Knox Polk Farris/Faries/Fairris b. ca.1850 possibly in Tennessee. Shows up in Anderson County Texas ca. 1872. Land records(1906)tie J.K.P. to James Daniel (J.D.) Farris b.1848 and Martha Campbell Farris who moved from North Carolina ca.1898 to Texas. Both James Daniel and Martha were born in South Carolina. James Daniels Father was Samuel Farris of York County, S.C. Any help with ancestors will be greatly appreciated.
