I too am researching a Faria family from Alameda. My family consists of Miguel (Michael ) S FARIA (FARIS, FERRIS) and his wife Mary Ellen. Miguel was born about 1849 in the Azores. Mary was born 1859 in Graciosa and came to America in 1863. She had at least one daughter Mrs. Louise COLIVAS and several grandchildren with the surname SEARS.mary's father was Antone Mendonca. Any connections?
