Hi. My name is Tanya Farar Arnold. I am the granddaughter of Artie Farar. I see that you are looking for my great-great-grandfather. I spoke with my dad, whose name is Tommy Farar, Sr, and he said that the Cook's are from Spokane Missouri. He also said that the family is from Tennessee and most migrated to the Tahlaquah, Oklahoma area, at least the Earl Farar clan did. We have a family reunion year in Tahlaquah on the Labor Day weekend if you would ever be interested in joinging. You may contact me and I will keep you updated. I know that when the move occured a long time ago that the name was originally spelt Farar and some changed the spelling to Farrar and Farrah. This may give you some more leads. We also have a cousin, Shirly, I can't think of her last name but I think it is Jackson, from one of the clan's that is from Arizona area. I can ask my grandfather more question's for you if you are still interested. Keep me posted. I also thought it was unusual to find our name on this search. I see that my sister, Rebecca Farar, has emailed you. I was also going to let you know that my dad was named after a grandbaby of Earl Farar, Thomas Lee Farar, he died very shortly after birth. He is buried outside of Tahlaquah.
