Looking for relatives/information

Hi there! My name is James Farragher and Im desparately looking to find any relatives I have anywhere around the world. My father who is also called James left Co. Mayo, Ireland around 1960 aged 14. He came to England to settle with his mother Katherine (Keane), his brother Oliver Anthony (known as Tony) and his father James who served in the british army with the Royal Engineers during WW II. I know Katherine had brothers who emmigrated to Philladelphia USA although I know nothing else about them and would love to maybe learn more if at all possible. I currently live in Manchester England and have only recently began to try tracing my ancestry. I have also noticed that many of the posts on this forum and others spell "Farragher" as "Faragher" and was wondering if there is any reason for this or if the name has the same origins in the west of Ireland. Any Information you can give me on these subjects, either on the origin of the name or on my possible family, would be very gratefully recieved. If I can perhaps be of assistance to anyone please dont hesitate to contact me as I would be more than happy to help if at all possible.

Go mbeirrimis beo ar an t-am seo airis
