The following info was taken from CD's on the 1880 Franklin Co., AR, Census. Does any of this sound familiar or seem plausable?

Middle Town., Franklin Co., AR 1880

Fanning, Joseph 37 AR
Caroline 32 AR
Della 8 AR
Dora 6 AR
Mary L. 2 AR
Andrew J. 67 AL (father of Joseph)
Northum, Harriet 14 AR (sister of Caroline)

Fanning, John 29 AR
Barbary 24 AR
Maxey 4 AR
Albert 2 AR
Baily, Francis 35 AR pauper

Five households from Joseph Fanning were the following:

Watkins, William H. 64 NC
Martha 47 NC
William 20 AR
Lucilla 18 AR
Laura 15 AR
Lee 13 AR
Dora 10 AR
Ella May 7 AR

Could your Lillie have been the Mary L. in Joseph's household? There were other Baileys/Bailys and Watkins in Franklin Co.

Andrew J. Fanning was the youngest child of eleven children of Barbara Davis and Joseph Fanning Sr. Joseph Sr. married a second time and had five additional children.

If you do connect to this Fanning clan, there are many researchers who would like your info and can give you much info.
