My father was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1917 to a Goldie Fannon. He was taken from his mother in 1918 and stayed at the Illinois Children's Home until he was adopted by Rev. Carl J. and Mabel Wells. I have been trying to search for information about his birth family. My adoptive grandmother kept in touch with someone from my father's birth family. He had a birth sister who was a transport pilot during WWII. He was also a pilot during WWII. It is believed that his birth sister was taken in by a birth family member. Any information that can be supplied about his birth family would be greatly appreciated.
