I do belive this is the James I am looking for, I have not been able to locate death cert, or record of his death anywhere. I do have Death Cert. for William James Fanning b. 1852 in Lawrence Co. Tn, with James H. Fanning, & Emily Jane Kirk Fanning as his parents. They would have been abt. 16 yrs old in 1847 when the marriage took place. This would make their birth years abt. 1831 as the 1850 Lawrence Co. census shows them age 19 yrs old. The problem is you have to allow for variations in records. If I could see a name on death cert. it would certainly help. Thanks a bunch, & I do have a copy of this tree. James is in it, & no info:
