George is my ggg-grandfather.born Dec 23, 1825 and died in 1861 in Gillespie Co TX. He died of an appendicitis attack, leaving his wife, Mary More McDonald and 6 children to this wild frontier.The children grew up here.Their mothers brother Lafe McDonald acted as surrogate father to the children. The oldest child was Rachel Adeline Fanning.(my gg grandmother) Who married George W. Larremore in 1866. They left Kerr County, TX by wagon train in 1880, for Seven Rivers N.M, taking Rachels mother, Mary More Mcdonald along. She lived to be in her 90"s and is buried in Eddy County, N.M.
