Hi Diane,
I have a cousin in Chicago that has been working on this side of the family, she actually has been back to Ireland where they are from.
I don't have all the names of Hugh's brothers and sister except for Patrick S. Fanning, who is Brother Paulian, he listed in our family Bible.I know that Hugh lived and died in Jeffersonville, In. Hugh married Catherine Fogarty and had three children that we are aware of, Peter Fanning 1854, Mary Fanning abt 1861 and John Patrick Fanning 1863 (my line).
John Patrick married Sophia Marie Muster from Valparaiso IN. Both are buried there with the first son Mark (he died young). They lived around the Chicago area for most of their married life except when they were first married their son Mark was born in Jeffersonville In. John and Sophia had 7 children and my line comes from Agnes Grace Susanna Fanning Robinson.
