Thanks Sarah for your response to my Fanning questions. I have the DAR records for Laughlin Fanning and yes it does list Middleton Fanning as a child of Laughlin, but here lies the problem, where is the actual proof that Middleton was in fact a son of Laughlin? I'm not finding that proof anywhere and I've been searching for about 20 years. What document did they use to prove this? Would appreciate help in finding this proof.
