Married to Lydia E. Carter(also called Harriett Lydia Emmons dob1813)5Feb1839 after
the death of Elisebeth Swadley his 1st
wife(dob1801). One of Lydia's grandsons said
she was a fullblooded Cherokee. Thomas,Sr.(dod19Feb1861)served in the Civil
and Indian Wars as Drum Major with the
Black Hawks army unit. His mother
Sarah and father Thomas were thought to have been born in England. I am one of Thomas,Sr.'s greatgrandsons.
