Thank you for your comments.
I do have a lot of information about Windsor Pierce/Pearce.
In his will he mentions daughters Olive and Keziah who did not marry. However, as far as I can find out, neither wasold enough to be Samuel's mother since they were born about the same time as he was.
Our Samuel was born ca. 1781-83 in North Carolina and lived as an adult in Wake County, NC where he had property.According to his census, he was born in NC.I have not pinned down the county of his birth. He went to Benton Co. TN about 1830 and moved on and died in Oregon County, Missouri after 1870.
It would appear that Windsor came into his majority about 1755 when he was granted a patent in Johnston County, NC.That would indicate that he was born about 1730-35.If so,then he would be in his fifties when his two unmarried daughters were born.
There are clues and I have wondered if there were two Windsor Pierces, Junior and Senior. That would help in explaining some of the dates.
In some information I received from a correspondent there was an unidentified son born 1784-90 in the family who was not mentioned in Windsor's will. That could be the child Samuel, but who was his mother?
If you like, I can send to you by email all the notes I have about Windsor .
