Sallie is the nickname for Sarah so would have to assume that it was one and the same person listed in the censuses though probably never be able to prove it one way or the other. And you would be surprised how many people did not age 10 years from one census to the next.Never know for sure who was giving the census taker the info, how literate the info giver and the census taker were nor if the census was recopied and errors in transcription were made before being sent to Washington, DC.Some the writing leaves a lot to be desired.
It appears that Catherine and Louisa may have died young since 5 children were listed as living in 1900, and there were 5 children living with Sarah at that time.
Also doubt you will find a marriage for them unless in a bible record as the Madison Co., AR, courthouse burned 3 times destroying most of the early county records which has been a real headache trying to determine maiden names for wives of some Fanning men.
See some of my other posts for info on our Fanning and Davis ancestors. It is amazing that Joseph Fanning's sons from his marriage to Barbara Davis (same for John Fanning Jr's marriage to Mary Davis) probably were theorically 75% of German hertiage yet they probably carried the Irish male genes(probably tracing back to Normany in France from whence the name supposedly originated).
