It depends on who your people go back to.
Look at the messages and information about Bryan Fannin who settled in Amelia Co. Va in mid 1700's. His family split up with some going to Wythe Co. around the end of the revolution. This would include Achilles (Akerles) and David Fannin/Fanning/etc. Some stayed on in Virginia and the rest moved west around 1805 to counties around Morgan co.Ky and even on into Indiana. Give us a little mre to go on and we can probably tie you in.
