I agree that "county" is most likely the correct word, but I was just curious in case the other was correct.
Yes, David's narrative is a wonderful thing for us to have. Also, other North Carolina Colonial Records are coming online, so who knows what we may find.
As for the y-DNA results for Benoni's descendant (F-19), I wouldn't want to speculate based on that one test.Remember, the same thing happened with a supposed descendant of Welcome Fanning several years ago (F-51). This was most likely a "non-parental event"(a politically correct term).But, now we have another test to go by and soon a third test. We should probably try to locate another descendant of Benoni's to see what is going on.
By the way, there is a sale going on for upgrades through July 19th. I'd be glad to pitch in and help some on the cost, if you cared to upgrade to 67 markers. Please let me know.
There does seem to be some connection between Chestnut Creek John & Old Bryan's DNA, I just hope someday we will get to see how this happened.
