Could be. Based on information sent to me this week by Jim Fannin, I have the following:

John J. Fannin's Children:
Benjamin Fannin bn 1868 (the name you saw, no indication of a middle name)
and so on including my grandfather John Henry Fannin 1886-1965.

Also, BEnjamin Franklin Fannin, son of Travis Fannin and Nancy Burchett. Born 3 May, 1844 Morgan County, died Sept. 7 1907,Buried in Fannin Cemetery, Laurel, Elliott Cty Ky. Married Catherine Dehart 26 June 1873 Morgan Cty. She was born about 1855 in Ky and is also buried in Fannin Cemetery.
Benjamin Frankin Fannin's children:
Thomas bn 1874, died 1905
Benjamin Franklin bn 21 Aug. 1877
