I am working on the theory that John/Jehu Fannin who lived in Halifax Co. VA and died in 1770 was married to Ann is the son of Bryan. This John had a son John, Jr. who was married to Elizabeth. I am also looking at HEZEKIAH Fannin of Caswell Co. NC as being ANOTHER son of John, Sr.

Hezekiah is in Caswell Co. as early as 1777. I haven't gotten him any further back thus far. Hezakiah is the only male Fannin in Caswell Co. apparently. He is appearantly the father of Middleton, William (documented with court records), Jehu(?), Letty Judah, Mary, and an unknown femarle.

I have made a comparison of the 1784 NC census and it all seems to match with the Fannins that are found in Caswell Co. Its just them and no other Fannins to distingush them from. The name Middleton is what would point people in the direction of John in Halifax Co. VA. These Fannins were going back and forth between the two states. Later, we find some of these Fannins going to GA. Hezediah went as well. Thus, the Fannins seem to disappear from Caswell Co. altogether.

The problem is trying to prove that Hezekiah is the son of John, son of Bryan. The name Middleton would be a key point if Bryan's wife is truly a Middleton or connected with them.

I am working on a timeline for Hezekiah from Caswell Co. to GA. Is anyone trying to document John/Jehu Fannin the son of Bryan. Would like to get in contact with them.
