I have been persuing the idea that Hezekiah Fannin of Caswell Co. NC IS the REAL father of Middleton Fannin. Thus far this idea is working out or at least until I get ALL of the documents in NC and GA.
Just returned from the NC archives in Raleigh where I find that Hezekiah received a certificate for some type of service during the RW.
Have you tried to document Middleton's father after Laughton didn't work out?
