Free DNA Test Offer

Another year has past and the Fanning DNA Project is growing by leaps and bounds. We now have 39 participants in our project. I am again offering to pay for one Y-DNA 37 Marker test for one Fanning male who can provide proper documentation of his direct descent from Edmund Fanning, the emigrant ancestor of the Connecticut Fanning family, who settled in New London (then called Pequot), Connecticut, in 1653. He was one of the original proprietors of Stonington, Conn. He was born in Ireland about 1620 and his wife's name was Ellen. They had five sons & two daughters according to the "History of the Fanning Family..." by Walter Frederic Brooks, published
in 1905.

Your lineage must be documented to one of these five sons in order to qualify for the free testing.

You must be willing to share the results with those participating in the Fanning DNA Project.

If you have any questions please contact the Project Administrator, Cathy Stoppel at pstoppel@wvi.com or you can contact me at jpfannin@hotmail.com.

To learn more about this project go to: www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/f/fanning.

This test will be a valuable benchmark for the Fanning DNA
project, we hope that an Edmund Fanning descendant will step forward to aid in this cause.

This offer will expire on December 30, 2008 due to special terms from the testing company expiring on Dec. 31, 2008.

Since I am personally offering to pay for this test, I reserve the right to deny any or all applications for any reason to this free offer.

Sincerely,

Patric Fannin
