Water Witches, Clairvoiants and Mormons

It's time to put some life around some of my ancestors....
My grandfather, John Henry Fannin, 1886-1965 was born in Elk Fork, Morgan County, Father was John J. Fannin. His siblings were Benjamin 1868, Issac W. 1869, William Warner 1871, Nancy 1872, Moses 1874, Alex 1876, Fleming 1879, Sinthy Ann 1881, Emeline 1884, Sarah A. 1889, Lou Pearly 1890, and Bessie 1894.
John Henry Fannin was a water witch ( I saw him locate at least one well and I have his dousing kit). He claimed his Pearly could find water as well as read the bottom of coffee cups (my father saw her). The family left the area after 1895 and some turned up in Idaho as Mormons.
Questions:
1. Does anyone have stories of Morgan County Fannins with such skills ? I really want to hear more and trade stories.
2. Does anyone have information about the family leaving Ky ? Moses went to Idaho, John Henry we think joined the army.
3. Does anyone have information about activities of Mormon missionairies in Morgan County around 1895-1900 ? Moses and his line are strong Mormons to this day.

Let me know either by this forum or email.
